Release

Release
I realize that to release I must do so with real ease
Realease
Let go of what doesn’t serve me
Release that which is intrinsically me
Into the world
Here I am
2012
Open arms
Releasing the past
Releasing my creativity
Sharing with others
Sharing with myself
Release and make room for more to be released
Release as a flower releases its pollen
Release like the fluffy airborne seeds of a dandelion spreading children’s wishes
Release old skin as the cicadas and snakes do
Release the way a cocoon releases the butterfly
This is my year to release!

Beautiful. <3
This is so beautiful! 2012 will be amazing for you!
Beautiful Petrea…….I’m inspired to work on my own poem for my words
.
That was truly lovely Petra! I hadn’t thought about making a poem to go with my word of the year. I’m thinking I may do just that!
Love your word of the year! A perfect one. Beautiful poem as well.
Ooooh! Real Ease! I never noticed that before. Love it!
I love your imagery — so compelling and resonant. Like Gina, I’m inspired to work on my own poem with my words (Self-Compassion, Untangle, Practice).
The funny thing is I kept misspelling Release when I was hand-writing it as my word of the year on a journal – I kept adding in the extra “a” making it Realease so I figured my inner muse was trying to tell me something!
Thanks for all of your support! I’m looking forward to reading some of your word of the year poems (Gina, Dionne, Melissa)!

What a great word! I love how you discovered “real ease”. I’m also feeling inspired by the beautiful poetry I’ve been seeing. I think there might be a poem in my word too. Seems a good way to explore it further.
